Total Aerobic Microbial Count
Description
The Total Aerobic Microbial Count (TAMC) test is a critical microbiological quality control procedure performed in compliance with USP <61>, EP 2.6.12, IP 2.2.9. It is designed to determine the total number of viable aerobic bacteria present in pharmaceutical products, raw materials, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, and other regulated samples. TAMC testing ensures that the microbial load of a product meets pharmacopeial acceptance criteria as outlined in USP <1111>, thereby safeguarding product quality and patient safety.
